ProVia - Can not find a reputable dealer
I have tried 5 dealers in my area. (Staten Island) Two, in New Jersey will not sell a door unless they can install it (reasonable) but will not come to Staten Island (15 miles) to install it.
Three on Staten Island:
1- One dealer priced door $300 more than others.
2-A second dealer said that they could get door for $550 (in writing) but after I agreed he then started to add all kinds of extras. Extra for color, extra for inswing hardware. He also said that the entry handle I wanted was not available even though ProVia said it was standard for the door. The fact that I challenged him and was correct probaly pissed him off so the prices went up.
3- The third dealer never returned calls. I went to his shop and we talked price but when I called to order he never called back.
Door may be great but dealers are in need of help.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I live on SI and I purchased my PROVIA in Bayridge. Just get a GOOD contractor to install it because although I like the doors the contractor who installed it sucked so I have a problems but the door itself is great
What is the warranty on a provia storm door. My storm door was installed in May of 2014.
In June the latch on the door broke so we couldnโt latch the door and cosequetlle during a windstorm the door was blown outward and is now sprung and will not close. Do I have ant recourse from Provia for installing a defective latch on the door?
Someone told me the Provia has a lifetime warranty on their storm doors. Am I just whistling in the dark?
